June 1st, here I am flying from Madrid to New York filling the papers with all the required info.

At last, after a fucking flight day, I  wake up on friday 2nd in Los Angeles, concretely in Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Under a Jack Daniel's ad in Sunset blvd, very close to my Hotel, The Grafton on Sunset.

At the Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors where I signed a few autographs and had some photos with my american fans.

Next to one of the disguised girls over there...I swear that I did not provoke her...

With Guillermo del Toro and Doug Jones. I gave to Guillermo a copy of my book "Directed by" and to my surprise he knew very well the publisher company Océano. By the way, he told me that he visited my website and had the chance to see the "Zombie Xtreme" trailer, so... I gave him the DVDs of "Deadhunter" and "Zombie Xtreme".

  I met again Lloyd Kaufman since many years ago that we met in Spain.

During Bruce Campbell's appearing, I asked him about the "Bubba Ho-Tep" sequel, he told me they were working on it and as he recognized me, he told the audience to greet "Julián Lara, the ultimate spanish horror filmmaker"... it was a great moment because he made me stand up... then is when I realise that my promo ads are effective and profitable. Of course, if somebody like Bruce say that about me I can't help to feel great, don't you think?

Chuck took me to Daniel Roebuck's house, a very good friend of him, who is very nice and a very well known Hollywood actor. One inside his home he showed me his fantastic collection of horror creatures of the movies, such as Bela Lugosi among others.

Chuck and me having some drinks...Jack&Coke by the way... on june 3rd, saturday night in Los Angeles... well, we had the chance to see Bruce Campbell and talk with him for a while, yeah!!

Once finished the Fango convention, the promo was over and began the second target of my trip: job interviews. So in my free day, june 5, I went to Santa Monica to the restaurant owned by Schwarzenegger, called "Schatzi on Main"... I had the luck to see the "Governator" but I didn't had the chance to salute him, and this fucked me up a lot, but things are not always the way that I want...

At least I could say hello to the nice actress Tia Carrere, and I couldn't help to say to her that I loved her in "Wayne's World", I love that movie.

Also in my free day I went to the Tower Records at Sunset Blvd and to go to the cinema in the big and famous Chinese Theatre located on the Hollywood&Highland Center, take a look at it on its website: http://www.hollywoodandhighland.com

  Very close to my hotel there was "The Viper Room", mythical club that once was managed by Johnny Depp and here was the place where River Phoenix died... well... I went to drink some Jack&Cokes.

For the most morbid people, here you are a pic of the lavatories of "The Viper Room"... wow, just think about all the stuff that must have passed over here...

On tuesday 6th I had to go again to Santa Monica because of my interview in Lions Gate, and since I can't tell what happened on the interview, at least I can say that after one hour I went out the offices of Lions Gate very happy.

So I already was in Santa Monica I went to the beach for a while, you can see behind me the famous Santa Monica pier.

And so the Venice beach was so pretty and close I went there too to spent a while over there.

Back to my hotel I used to find at the entrance many luxury cars such as Ferraris or Lamborghinis like that one, the car of my dreams.

Wednesday 7th, interview in Dark Horse Entertainment, once again I went out of that office so satisfied and glad, and well, I can not tell the details, but it was a very profitable interview all along the hour that I spent inside.

That day after the interview I went to have lunch at the "The Milky Way" restaurant in Pico Blvd, that is managed and owned by Leah Adler, with whom you can see me here, who is also Steven Spielberg's mother.

After eating at "The Milky Way" I dropped myself at Urth Caffé in Melrose Avenue, a place often visited by the Hollywood celebrities... but the only celebrity that I found on the street was Colin Farrell eating in Sunset Strip, very close to my hotel.

That night I hang out over the Beverly Center, a huge mall in the heart of Beverly Hills that was very close to my hotel, I just had to take Sunset Blvd. and turn down on La Cienega Blvd.

Here I am in Burbank, on the presentation of the "Straight into Darkness" DVD with Chuck Williams and Daniel Roebuck among others.

I had to go to my favourite comic store, the "Golden Apple" in Melrose Avenue, and I purchased all the comics that I love and that are impossible to get in Spain. That afternoon I went too to the G-Star Raw shop and to the big, huge, shop called Amoeba that recommended me my friend Santiago Segura, where you can find anything related to the movies and music.

On thursday 8th, after my third interview outside Los Angeles I went to the Jennifer López's restaurant in Pasadena, that by the way is a very beautiful town... I also stopped at the Tower Records to purchase some "Ren&Stimpy" DVD, among other things.

On friday 9th, after this many stressful days, I tried to relax myself at the swimming pool of the hotel enjoying my last hours in the beautiful city of Los Angeles.

  That ugly face of myself is because is not nice at all to spend 30 hours between 4 airports and 3 different flights... because when you get out of Los Angeles, land on New York, take off again, arrive to Madrid, and then fly again to Sevilla, and add to this many waits, delays, take offs, hours changes, landings, luggage movements, customs stops, and so many useless bureaucratic steps... you finally end tired and exhausted. Even, Lisa Rod was waiting for me, and when I arrived to Sevilla I couldn't believe it... but in the end I was in Sevilla on saturday 10th at midday.
